Job Vacancy - Fauna Ecologist

Abel Ecology is a small company providing an innovative consulting service to government and private developers, natural resource and land managers. We operate across NSW and interstate. We are seeking a full-time, permanent fauna ecologist. A competitive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful applicant. Candidates must have:

a postgraduate qualification or second qualification,
field ecology and survey experience, with a minimum of 2 years experience within the NSW region, with broad local knowledge of native vertebrate species,
GIS skills,
practical project management skills,
experience in developing and implementing fauna surveys,
an ability to identify species in the field,
skill in identifying habitat parameters,
current first aid certificate
excellent English, writing and communication skills that allow you to prepare fauna management plans, and communicate with clients and colleagues

mature age,
bushfire assessment skills,
membership of a scientific association,
experience in tender preparation
